AVA keyboard weights/badges come in a variety of materials.
Sandblasted-Coated Brass: clearcoat brass
Face-polished, gold-plated Brass: sandblasting, with surface polish of the cut-through AVA logo (visible to the outside of case), then plated for tarnish-resistance.
Sandblasted Polycarbonate: Unlike the polycarbonate case (which is frosted using a varnish polyurethane coating), the weight is sandblasted so that it can be re-finished by the end user. The weight can be sanded, but the keyboard case CANNOT BE SANDED.
Face-polished, Gray PVD Stainless Steel: sandblasted steel weight, face polished, then PVD coated.
Copper, Sandblasted: Full sandblasting, raw copper. Added 10/1/2022.
